CTS Continuing Education Classes

CTS certifications are awarded for a period of three years. To maintain your certification, you must complete minimum levels of continuing education during each three-year period and must reaffirm your commitment to the CTS Code of Ethics and Conduct. Draper, in conjunction with ICIA, has developed the following classes to help you earn renewal credits. These classes are available in person in our office, at your location, or virtually via webinar.

Description:

Light Emitting Diode (LED) displays are quickly gaining ground in architectural AV. LED last longer than other technologies; is brighter; is modular in nature; and seamless. This course will introduce the learners to LED technology, and discuss the elements of a proper support structure.

  • Compare LED, LCD, and projection technologies
  • Review pixel pitch, viewing distances and other factors when evaluating LED display systems
  • Evaluate adjustment capabilities, and wall, floor, and ceiling attachment details when selecting an LED mounting system

Length: One Hour

Credits: One RU/CTS Learning Unit

  • Image Size and Aspect Ratio
  • Image Height AFF, Obstructions, etc.
  • Seating
  • Throw Distance
  • Lighting

  • Calculating for System Brightness & Contrast
